The driving force behind my work is to walk in the shadowland between beauty and darkness. Haunting imagery has always fascinated me, and my work, often viewed as an installation with painting, sculpture, film, music and fragrance, serves to create a dark, immersive world where the viewer can wind through the gothic narrative. In my work, every piece has a tale to tell, a secret to unravel.

This series tells the story of futuristic magical beings, and a fallen civilization of hybrids- the skeletons of which are an intrinsic part of the Oracle’s belief system.The Oracles, futuristic seers, are caught in visions of their own future, and represent the duality in humanity; that beautiful balance of light and dark, which so drives the human spirit. -- Alexis Karl
